i was reading the straits times on the speech by a west bank priest. only after i read his speech did i feel touched and sympathy for the palestiens regardless of their religions. he touched on the increase in the aboud people's hardships when the isreali military issued confiscation orders to seize land owned by the village residents to build israel's security barrier also known as the wall . according to the priest, the orders were given without any consultation from the land owners. not only that, it is also stated that the the wall will cut aboud off from the additional village land. the priest admitted that he deeply understands israel's security needs in order to protect its citizens. however, he doubts that by separating villages like aboud without any consultations will determine the safety and security for the israels. i deeply pity the residents when the priest conveyed that the residents will suffer from the wall through the loss of water and olive trees. the olive tree has been the residents' symbol of life. generations have provided for their families from the olive groves. however i am saddened when i learn the fact that israel has severely restricted aboud's use of the west bank's richest aquifer, preventing the drilling of wells to access fresh water beneath the village. therefore, the residents have to buy water from the israel's water company. to add the matter worst, the residents do not receive sufficent water and this results to serious health problems. in spite of the problems faced i love to learn from the priest that there are harmony and respect among the residents despite that they are not from the same religion. both muslims and christians live peacefully and the students enrol in the same school for centuries. this has contradicted the idea that muslims and christians are enemies and can never have peace due to the occurrence of terrorist attacks. the priest pleads for the israel occupation to end and terrorism and violence must stop. this is for the good for the palestians regardless of their religions as they have to stand up for their land. no one should owe their living. palestian is their land and they must fight for it. i have no idea for how long this dispute over land will stop. i don't know why the israel wants to take over the land. is it because they have no land and they do not want to sink under the arabs due to the fact they are the minority? the occupation has not stopped. it's not a wonder why there are suicide bombings in palestian. probably the palestians' patience has off the limits and they must protest. yes, that suicide bombing is so obviously wrong but for how long should they suffer? maybe they rather to end up their lives than being tortured or killed by the israel authority. i know i am a nobody. who wants to hear a voice form this 16-year-old muslim girl? all i have to do is just pray, pray and pray for the world peace. and please i beg for no discrimination against the muslims. do not always associate terrorists to muslims. not all of us are like that. in islam, we do learn tolerance and harmony. the verses in the Holy Qu'ran state so. for instance, the Surah Al-Kaffirrun. it is about the difference in worship wise between the muslims and non-muslims these are the verses 2-6 from the Surah. (2) I will not worship what you are worshipping. (3) And you won't worship the Lord which I am worshipping. (4) And I will never worship the Lord which you are worshipping. (5) And you will never worship the Lord which I am worshipping. (6) For you is your religion [You worship what you worship] and for me is my religion [I worship what I worship]

peace
