i have to accept that every second, every minute, every hour and everyday, there are changes. i can't expect everything to be the same all day. life won't called life and it'll be boring without changes. with thorough and sensible thinking (along with those nasyid songs which my dad has been playing for hours and the morning syarahan from this chinese ustazah. man, she's really good.), i would like to say sorry if i hurt any of my ex-classmates' feelings and anyone whom i may have offended. but still.

just read the papers. i was attracted to this article on thismalaysian perlis mufti. he is the youngest mufti in malaysia who has created waves with his non-traditional interpretation of islam. well, i want to say that he kinda rocks. i'm still not that familiar with the mufti but my dad is. he salutes the mufti for being different. for good. the article touched on the mufti's suggestion to allow the chinese muslims to build and run their own mosques in malaysia. he claimed that it's unfair of the governement to deny the rights of the chinese muslims. he wants to rid of the misunderstood concept that Islam could only mean malay language, customs and tradition. he claimed that this misconceptions dicourages non-muslims from wanting to know more about Islam and denies non-malay muslims the right to worship in their own languages. frankly, this is so true. most of people thought that Islam=malay. not. there was once when i went to a bakery with my non-muslim friend. i didn't intend to buy anything from the bakery. when i told that to my friends, she said, "oh ya. malays cannot eat non-halal food. i don't know if this bakery serves halal food." i corrected her, "hello, it's muslims not malays." unfortunately, she still repeats her mistake. don't really blame her though. in singapore, majority of the malays are muslims. oh, but how sad that there're malays (who are muslims) try not to act or be muslims. ok, back to the mufti. he said that if a mosque or a surau is built for the chinese, their non-muslim community will be able to accept them as they're still considered chinese by continuing to practise their language and traditional customs, which are not at odds with Islam. he also mentioned that the current situation is an inconvenience for those chinese who have converted to Islam as they also have to assimilate into the malay culture, thus alienating themselves from their non-muslim family and friends. my God, this sounds so unfair for the chinese muslims as well as for those non-malay muslims. somehow, i feel that malays are so arrogant just because they are muslims. Allah Forbid That! for goodness sake, chinese from china have been muslims for hundreds of years before the malays accepted Islam. even one of Rasullulah's(s.a.w.) friends had gone to china to spread the Islamic religion. my dad claimed that some of his friends went to those parts of china where majority of the chinese muslims live. they thought that my dad's friends are mua'laf(just converted into Islam). so according to the mufti, if the government doesn't allow such mosques for the chinese, that is racism, discrimination and is against to Islam.

i badly want toperform Umroh and Hajj. i want to witness the unity of muslims from around the world. and where the muslims over the world join together to pray.
