i know gss is happening now and everyone's like damn excited. it's hot now. however, there are current hot issues occurring.

the muslim malaysians are relieved that the syariah court rejected lina joy's appeal to drop 'islam' from her ic since she has converted to christianity 9 years ago. the muslims hailed the decision as upholding the special position of islam in malaysia and refirming the social construct of the country, which gives the malays and muslims a more prominent position. man, i don't find it's appropriate to be relieved of the decision. it just gives me the impression that the muslims there do not care if the muslims are sincere in islam or not. but as long as they have that 'islam' in their ics and majority are muslims, the malaysians are ok with it. it is believed that lina joy is overseas and plans to marry her christian boyfriend. and just this morning, i learnt that a malaysian woman pleaded for the government to help her renounce islam and become a hindu in aftermath of lina joy's case. she said, "i don't want to be a muslim. all this while i've been living as a hindu...i want to change my religion but the court's ruling in lina joy's case has shattered my hopes for a future." not only that, she even tried to commit suicide after her hindu boyfriend tried to break up with her. nau'zubillah.

seriously, this is not the time to heave a sigh of relief that the court does not allow islam apostasy. this is the time to reflect what makes our fellow muslims to murtad and leave the sacred islamic religion. what makes our fellow brothers and sisters have the guts to stand up for the other religions. what has blinded our muslims that they have decided not to believe in Allah s.w.t.? what should we, the muslims, do to sustain our iman? how can we improve ourselves? how can we prove to the world that we are very sincere in our religion and are very proud of being muslims? how can we wipe off the sterotyping ideas of islam? and very obviously, extremism is not the answer. anyway, please do not associate muslims=malays. dr mahathir had better take back his words. it's just ironic that malaysia, a country which has the muslims as majority and takes the islamic laws seriously, yet there are such things happening. oh, i would not like to comment on indonesia as i believe the country has misinterpreted islam. period. seriously, i believe that the world is laughing at us. there are those extremists hailing for jihad, jihad, jihad and those people who plead and beg to the court to let them drop 'islam'. an innocent singaporean youth who wished to discover a 'pure' form of islam has become a full-fleadged 'diy extremist' as he turned to of all things, internet, for the information. astaghfirullah. man, what's the world becoming? in fact, what's islam becoming? misintrepretations, misunderstandings and all those 'mis' stuff.

ok. and seriously, whoever want to listen to this 16-year-old slow-learner, fat girl?
